The crowd was a little late arriving. the place was about 50% full for
skid row and about 70% for ted nugent. I thought they were better at
the previous shows I had seen. the place was 110% full for KISS.
KISS: fantastic! This was the fifth show that i had seen (Columbia, Charlotte,
Greenville, Greensboro). Although this show wasn't as loud as the previous
ones, it was still great. They were all in top form, Peter especially. This
was my favorite rendition of 'Beth'. He was so into the crowd. Ace shot down
about 4 lights to the ground with his first rocket during the solo. Paul
extended his version of 'I still love you' through the chorus during his solo.
Gene's bloodspitting was completely awesome. the cameras had a perfect shot
of his eyes rolled back with blood flowing. KISS was KISS! I cried during
'do you love me'. It was my final KISS show of THIS tour and it was a great one to leave on. My makeup wore off before skid row came on stage. It was pretty hot outside. Needless to say I sweated a lot that night. After over 2 hours of fist pumping and screaming, during RNRAN I hit the wall. I bearly made it back to the car after the show. I was totally exhausted. That to me is the perfect way to see KISS go out, kicking my rock'n'roll a$$. I'll always cherish these concerts
above all others and I'll always recognize KISS as the greatest band of all time.
Thank you KISS for giving me strength in the bad times and making my good times
better. thank you for "Love Gun", "Rock and Roll all Night", "Revenge", "Dynasty"
and "ALive IV". My twenty eight years of being in the KISS ARMY are above value.
My name is andrew johnson and I will forever be a KISS-aholic.
God bless you KISS and farewell.
