KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Ron Ivanjack
Rockford was my 9th show of the Farewell tour. Who’d of thought it. Our seats were second row on Gene’s side which was great but they crammed people three deep in the front row so I was a bit farther back than I hoped I’d be. We arrived at the end of Skid Row’s set in time to pick up my event t-shirt. Ted Nuggent’s set remains very steady and consistent.

As for Kiss, they played well and were in good spirits. All effects went of perfectly. The hall was about 90% full but still rather quiet. It was almost embarrassing at times but Kiss are professionals and still gave it their all. One point of intrest I failed to mention in my Carbondale review was that Paul now sings two verses of I Still Love You. When Ace removed his armbands towards the end of the show, it revealed a large bandich on his forearm. Not sure what that was from. As with Carbondale, the amount of pyro is lesser probably due to the venue’s size.

One thing I learned is that catching guitar picks is a lot easier in the 1st row as opposed to the second. I hand my hands on several but mostly came up short. I did get one from Paul though. Kiss show remains solid and still very enjoyable.
