That concert kicked some serious ass. This is my new "Best concert I've ever been to.". The boys really got going on this one and had a good time.
My highlights:
- Gene licked Ace's neck twice during the show, and the 2nd time, it was on the side of Ace's mouth.
- During Paul's drunk driving speech, Ace was staggering across the stage pretending he was a drunk behind the wheel and bumped into a set of amps and about knocked them over as well as himself. He then began chuckling about it.
-Ace and Gene started to square dance on the stage near the end of the concert. I think Paul did too, but I can't remember (sensory overload).
-I attended the shows in Vegas and Reno as well and noticed that Gene will turn around and play for Peter. I imagine that the boys will feed energy to each other when it's needed. Well, last night, Gene went right up to the base of the drum set and played for Peter for about a half a song. Peter gave Gene a look like "Thanks, I needed that". I really got off on watching that. Ace did the same thing with Peter also.
-Paul had to yell over at Ace while Ace was getting into some licks on RARAN to get down and get onto the riser. When Ace came down and got in front of Paul, he switched guitars on the sly so he could crash it into the stage. (I've never actually seen him switch guitars, I've always missed it.)
-I got a set of pics and one extra Ace pic.
Eye contact with the boys: (I was on row 4)
-Paul looked straight at me while I was taking his picture while he was flying back from the middle of the arena.
-Ace looked at me and nodded and winked while I was holding my KISSRME Utah license plate and going wild.
-Gene looked at me with wide eyes and teeth and nodded and pointed, I was going NUTS.
-Ace was turned around watching the KISSTORY video during "Do You Love Me".
-Gene was going to make some smart ass remark about something and his mic wasnt on. He started making funny gestures about the sound guy. Then he did a quick short funny little walk like an feeble old man with a cane.
-Many many more.
My advice to anyone going to a show. These little things that you pick up on, really make it special for you. Watch the show carefully and try to pick things out of the ordinary that you have never seen. And don't get so wasted that you can't remember the show.
