KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Carlos Solorzano
I was not expecting much because I was real disappointed with the last concert that I went to which was Dodger Stadium on Halloween 1998. But when KISS opened with ripping versions of "Detroit, Rock City" followed by "Deuce" I knew that I was in for a great show. It was my sixth and final KISS concert and I did not go home disappointed. From the opening song to the last they were full of energy and played phenomenally. I was really impressed with Paul's vocals as usual but he really rocked that night. Maybe all that Phantom of the Opera is making him better. Gene was great as well. His vocals were very strong and had so much Demon in it. But how about the Ace? Man, the Spaceman rocked! His guitar solo was amazing but I was also impressed with his solo on "Lick it Up." Wow! It was also a treat to hear the solos to "Deuce," "Calling Dr. Love," "100,000 Years," and "Psycho Circus" one last time. It was divine. The best part of the show was the message from the band. I can see that they were sincere with their gratitude for all of out support and we love them that much more for it. I want to thank you guys along with past replacement members. I walked out of the concert filled with KISS pride from head to toe as well as down into my soul. I told my friends that it was something special to be part of the KISS family and it made all of those years of persecution from ignorant losers worth it. I went home smiling and told my wife all about it. After I was done I just sat there in my room at 4:30 in the morning and cried. Tears of sadness and tears of joy. My favorite band in the world cares about me, too. And yes, Paul, I can promise you this, I will never forget you guys. I'm still and always will be a soldier in the KISS Army. KISS still rules! Thanks guys and God Bless you all. RIP Eric Carr!
