KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Iceman
If you have read my review on the Anahiem show, you know how disappointed I was with the performance. And it had nothing to do with the technical problems. I felt that I could'nt let my 23 yr relationship with Kiss end on such a bad note. I was'nt even planing to make this show but I'm glad I did. The band played well, had lots of energy, and seemed to be having fun. It was close to the 96 reunion shows at the Forum. If that was the last Kiss show that I will see, I will remember it as a blast.

Let me complement the crowd who were in a party atmosphere.

The highlights for me were being 15 ft in front of Paul's Love Gun platform. It was as if he was coming out to see me. Wow. Verse one of Love Gun sung in a arm reach.

Ace's I Love It Loud solo was awesome. It was more a matter of feel than notes. Even Paul could'nt have played it better. How can I forget 100,000 yrs. It's my favorite Kiss song and I'm happy that it's a set standard.

As you know I am a unbiased Kiss fan. This is what I did'nt like. 2000 Man sucks. Get it out of the show. Ace should do Rocket Ride but Peter probably can'nt handle it. Psycho Circus also sucks much like the album. It's not a classic and never will be. Gene and Paul always perform well. Ace had a good night. But, Peter is the weak link and plays on heart alone. I would hate to see them tour without Peter but a drummer who can lift more that a pencil would help. Then the can play the songs at A-1 and A-2 speed instead of sloooow motion.

Kiss. You changed my life. I'm glad you are going out on top. Till death do us part.
