KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Kyla Underwood
What can anyone say about the Gods of Rock and Roll? I have been a fan since birth! My uncle got me hooked when I was 2 years old, and "Rock and Roll All Nite" has been my favorite song ever since. So when they reunited and came to Saskatoon in May of 1997 my uncle took me to the concert. We cried.

There were no tears this time, when I returned the favor and took my uncle and fiance, there was just plenty of rocking and rolling. My fiance hated KISS when we met, and now he is as much a fan as I am. The show was better than the reunion tour, simply because we got to see it again. I loved the fact that they included "non make-up" songs, although I was disappointed not to hear "NYG". Ace is and always will be my GOD.

If I had to pay 200 dollars, I would still have gone. Sask Place only had 8300 people there to say farewell to the Legends... and as the t-shirts say "Legends Never Die." My only regret is that I wasn't able to take my 5 year old daughter to the concert (she was ill). She loves KISS as much as I do! Since she was 18 months old she could identify the band members in make-up, and she did a mean impression of Gene Simmons' tongue wagging!

So, big sloppy KISSes and hats off to Gene, Paul, Peter and Ace. You have given the world so much joy.
