KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Ward Kirshaw
Well, what can I say except that this was the best day of my life. 10 out 10. Reading other reviews from the Australian leg of the tour, there seemed to be mishaps from each show, but last nights' in Sydney went off without a hitch.

Gene, Paul & Eric were great & Ace was the best he has ever been. Too many people I think are looking for him to stuff up so they can blame it on his past. Who cares what happened in the past. To me he was just as good as he was when I saw him at the Sydney Showground in 1980.

That night 21 years ago I saw them with my then 12 year old younger brother, and this time, after driving for 6 hours, he was there again along with his wife (his 4 year old daughter was left at the babysitters screaming her head off "I want to go and see KISS"), so I guess that it is now sad that her generation will never get to see KISS live.

The songs KISS played last night (you all know what they were by now) were all done extremely well and because of the huge number of songs that they have, they can't possibly play them all, so just be happy with the ones that they do play.

I can't wait until tonight's concert (7hrs to go) as I will be 2nd row this time (& going for that guitar) & then I will be off to the Good Friday concert at the Gold Coast.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank an old mate of mine, Glenboy, who 24 years ago said to my brother & I when we came to Sydney for the school holidays that there was going to be a 1 hour special on this cool group called KISS on the tele. That was the first time I saw KISS & the rest is history.

Thanks Glenboy, thank you KISS & to all the families of the mates that my brother & I converted into KISS fans, sorry (ha ha, only joking).
