Well, what can I say ? Last night the 'HOTTEST BAND IN THE WORLD' finally came
to the Air Canada Centre to show this city what true rock 'n' roll is all about.
My KISS colleagues and I didn't really catch Skid Row and by the sounds of it didn't miss much.
The Motor City MadMan put on a supershow from start to finsh. Ted Nugent was his usual energetic self and kicked ass on Stranglehold, Kiss my Ass and Cat Scratch Fever. The crowd was pumped and ready for the Legends of Rock and Roll to take the stage.
In simple words 'AWESOME'. From the opening chords of 'Detroit Rock City' Kiss kicked ass. The songset was pretty much the same as the other shows. Detroit Rock City, Love Gun, Deuce, Shock Me, Shout It Out Loud, Cold Gin, God of Thunder, Beth, Firehouse and of course Rock and Roll All Nite. 2000 Man, Lick It Up, Heavens on Fire and I Love It Loud made this set great.
As usual, the stage show kicked ass. Paul was in fine form throuhout the evening. Gene was typical Gene, commanding the crowd with a single glance. Genes voice started off strong but seemed to struggle in the latter part of the show. The blood spitting, fire breathing and demon flying routine went off without a hitch. Ace was in top shape but his solo was a little short. Peter appeared on top of his game, his solo was the shortest I have seen him play since the Reunion tour started.
The highlight of the evening was 'Do You Love Me' during which a video montage was played on the screen behind them showing the bands Illustious carreer, very touching.
A great night of rock 'n' roll from the greatest rock 'n' roll band of all time.
