KISS Tour 2000 Reviews

From: Tim Hotchin
I would have to say the biggest complaint would have been the lame security at the concert. Putting one person in charge of about 1/4 of the floor. People were way out of line and punches were all over and same as passing people around overhead. When it came to Kiss coming on,they did a documentary on the big screen for about 15 min (after their commercial of course for the PC game, gotta get the advertising in). The documentary was great, sort of like a 15 min Second Coming showing how they reunited. The song lineup was great. The new songs sounded great (Heavens on Fire, Lick it up, I love it loud). New Years clocking in was not a big deal. There was only a clock with no seconds on it, so Paul says 1 min to go, then it clicks to 12 and he said Happy New Year, a couple fireworks went off then Ace went into 2000 man. The big celebration was over within 2 min. The thing I would have been sooooo pissed off about is a contest CFOX had to go on stage and do the countdown with Kiss at midnight. This was an auction and the winner bid 3,000. (I bid 2100 and was outbid). Well I was looking to see what happened to know what I was missing. Well there was no guy up there at midnight?????? So when Kiss finished there main set, and they were off the stage , some guy from CFOX comes out with the winner (only the 2 of them on the stage) and says this guy paid 3000 to be on stage, say hello. The guy said hello and then the 2 walked off the stage. Man, what a rip. I would have been majorly pissed off if this was me, and may have sued. Overall Kiss did a great job, but security, organization and everything was off. Right from the start with them saying on the radio it is a MAJOR BACKUP BAND, to when they said they were going to have 100 foot cat walks out to the audience (which they didn't).
