Its difficult to review a band such as Kiss when you have been a fan for 25 years,so naturally my opinion is biased..Sure it was great what else would you expect me to say? The fact remains that no other band in rock n roll history ever put on a show like Kiss or ever will in the future. The word "show" the way i mean it combines the music as well as the visual..Lets stop and think for a moment..Here are 4 guys in their 50's on what seems to be a grueling tour, night after night physically challenging themselves like no other band in the world and actually breaking their asses to make the fan happy..When Paul says that any band that dosent give you the respect and the show like they do " arent worth your time and money" you know he means it....Yes, Kiss have put on shows with more pyrotechniques, more speakers, more explosions but lets not forget a) the stage at jones beach isnt that big and b) its outdoors so with the wind you have to be careful...Ive seen Kiss almost 140 times in concert over the years and i have seen great nights and not so great nights but any night you see a Kiss show its better than any other band that ever toured or will tour again..For me the most touching part of the show was when they did Do You Love Me and they had the video backdrop of photos from their entire career..i rememeber most of those pictures like they were taken yesterday..Lots and lots of memories there..One thing that bothers me also is the recent backlash of opinions on this site regarding crowd reaction...Yes the crowd was tamer than yearas gone past but arent we as people tamer?...In the 70's and early 80's i bet 90% of us over 30 now were wasted on quaaludes, booze and pot during those early years and acted like it.the average Kiss fan is older and cleaner these days so our behavior is a little more mellow also...i know i never went to a concert not wasted and screaming my head off for 2 hours...now i drink coffee before i go cause its a late night! (LOL)...anyway ill be at 2 shows in jersey soon and vegas too..Lets all pray they do their final show(s) ever at Madison Square Garden and do something completly off the wall to make it the emotional and special night(s) that it should be..Rock On
