Bittersweet. This was my third Kiss concert (Creatures, Revenge, Reunion).
All excellent, but there's nothing like the 4 original members together.
It was pure magic. The venue was an open tent and the low ceiling prevented the
use of some special effects. Nothing lost, since the stage performance
of the band was enough. The crowd was nearly sold out. Most people were standing.
This time I didn't scream or dance. Just stood there in awe, amazed at the
fact that they still can put on a hell of a show, despite their age and a
physically demanding touring schedule. The guys, Paul in particular, were
oozing energy.I was 15 when I got my first Kiss album (Alive!). I'm now 38 and
when they played "Let me go rock'n'roll" I was transported back to my adolescence.
Their sound remains fresh and they delivered a solid and energetic performance.
I just wish there was no beer at rock concerts. Some idiots just don't know how to
drink in moderation. Thanks Ace,Peter,Paul and Gene for a great show and for all
the good memories it evoked. I already miss you.
