The show was none other than awesome. This was the first time I had ever seen KISS. I am 16 years old. Ever since I could remember, I always knew who KISS was but never dreamed that I would listen to them. I always thought that all they sang was Rock and Roll all Night. Every time I would see them singing on TV, they were singing that song. All of that changed when I watched the new movie called Detroit Rock City.
That is movie is the funniest I have seen in a while. After I watched that movie, KISS has been my favorite band since. Well, then opportunity came around for me. I called my uncle that lives in West Palm Beach and he has seen KISS about 5 times and has been a fan since 74'. I called and asked if he would go to a concert with me and he asked if it was the KISS concert he already had tickets for, and I said yes. So, he got me a ticket to the concert and took me to see them.
Well, we got to the Mars Music Amphitheatre and Skid Row had already played. We got there right before Ted Nugent started. Ted Nugent was the coolest. Tommy Aldrich on the drums was so awesome. He, in my opinion, is the best there is. He was kicking ass that night. Ted Nugent made me laugh alot that night, especially with that song, Kiss My Ass. The lyrics in the song was just so funny that night, things like Janet Reno's a whore made the song hilarious. I also liked his Indian head dress that night too.
Well, then KISS came on and sang Detroit Rock City. I thought to myself, that song is the reason I am here tonight. Paul Stanley was totally awesome that night. Gene Simmons is the coolest person alive. Ace Frehley is the best when it comes to guitar playing. He plays with ease. Peter Criss was also very good. Overall, the band lives up to the name of the greatest rock and roll show on the planet. I wanted the best and I got the best. I am going to miss KISS. I only wish I didn't get into their music so late. Best Wishes to y'all and all y'all KISS fans.
