One of McFarlane Toys' most successful lines for 1997, KISS, experienced complete sellouts. The success continues into 1998 with the introduction of a new assortment of KISS action figures -- KISS Psycho Circus, the first new album in over 18 years featuring the original band members, anda new, ground breaking tour late 1998.
Last June, Todd McFarlane Productions in association with Song Signatures launched the monthly comic book KISS Psycho Circus which experienced thelargest sales increase for a newly introduced comic book in 1997. KISS Psycho Circus expands upon the mystique of KISS by developing macabre, circus-type story lines.
The KISS Psycho Circus action figures will capture both the alter-egos of each KISS member as portrayed in KISS Psycho Circus along with expanding upon the traditional KISS look. The KISS Psycho Circus assortment features King of Beast -- Peter Criss and The Animal Wrangler, The Celestial -- Ace Frehley and The Stiltman, The Demon -- Gene Simmons and The Ring Master, and The Starbearer -- Paul Stanley and The Jester, all dual packaged on blister cards. The manufacturer's suggested retail price is between $9.99 and $11.99 per [dual packaged] set. Each set is sold seperately.
