April 21 KISS & Aerosmith Unveil Official Tour Dates and Ticket Info From: LiveDaily.com August, September and October will bring the end of summer, the beginning of fall, and a co-headlining tour featuring '70s rock behemoths KISS and Aerosmith. The veteran rockers have tapped fledgling rock outfit Saliva to open. Tickets for the run will begin hitting box offices on April 26, according to the tour's promoter, Clear Channel Entertainment. On Friday night (4/18), Aerosmith's Steven Tyler, Joe Perry and Tom Hamilton will join KISS anchormen Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley during a special 90-minute radio program that will air on radio stations throughout the U.S. The broadcast is slated to begin at 10 p.m. Eastern Time, 7 p.m. Pacific, according to a press release. In addition to revealing the details about their summer tour, the groups' members will also be playing music from their respective--and sizeable--catalogs, and taking calls from fans. In March of 2000, the original KISS lineup launched what it called its "Farewell Tour." The group has toured on and off ever since. By early 2002, KISS founders Stanley (vocals, guitar) and Simmons (vocals, bass) had replaced original members Peter Criss (drums, vocals) and Ace Frehley (guitar, vocals) with musicians who wore Criss's and Frehley's costumes and make-up. Criss has since rejoined the group, while guitarist Tommy Thayer continues to portray Frehley's spaceman character. [View The Tour Dates] April 16 KISS' First Road Manager, Sean Delaney, Passes Away From: Steve Stierwalt Service for Sean Delaney will be held at the Provo Marriott 101 W. 100 North in Provo , Utah on Saturday April 19th at 10 AM. Flowers should arrive by 9AM. The information below was posted at genesimmons.com "Sad to report that SEAN DELANEY, our first road manager, co-writer and much more...has passed away. BILL AUCOIN, the band's first manager, called to tell me the sad news. Our condolences to the Delaney family. Sean and I spoke only a few weeks ago. He told me he had just started working with a new English Country and Western band. Aucoin also told me about that venture. Sean seemed happy to be working on something he cared about again. He also asked if he could introduce us when we played in his home town, and I, of course said yes. We both made plans to see each other when we arrived in his city. Sadly, he will not be able to introduce us. But, in more ways than one, Sean was one of the pivotal people in all our lives. He believed, when the world did not. He was there for us in the beginning and helped shape the direction of the band. He will be missed."
