KISS Record Shows For Yet Another DVD
From: chartattack.com
by Stephen Petrick
Alright KISS fans: You've had a good summer. Your heroes are touring again (although their so-called world tour has no Canadian dates). And frontman GENE SIMMONS is releasing a motivational speaking CD and DVD this fall so that you can soon learn how to be as successful and sexy as him.

Now, there's more good news on the horizon. The makeup-wearing men filmed two recent shows for a DVD. But calm down, calm down. There's no word yet on when it will be released or even what it will be named.

The band had cameras set up at a performances in Washington, D.C. and Virginia Beach, VA this weekend. Based on the set lists for the shows, you might expect to see the hits "Detroit Rock City," "Deuce" and "I Was Made For Loving You" on the finished product.

Being the marketing masterminds that they are, this is far from KISS's first foray into the visual medium. The forthcoming live DVD will follow their last DVD, KISS Symphony, which was released in September 2003 and featured the group's performance with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Other DVDs in the band's library include KISS: Exposed and KISS: Second Coming.

Meanwhile, the band are wrapping up a fireworks-laden tour that's kept them on the road since the winter. They're currently working through the Southern United States and will finish their travels in mid-August with three shows in Mexico.

If that's a little too far for you to go to marvel at Simmons' tongue, you can at least listen to his mouth on August 24. That's the day his DVD, Speaking In Tongues, will be released. It will chronicle the speeches he made to Australian audiences when he did a motivational speaking tour there. The CD version comes out on September 28.
