KISS postpones show From: St. Petersburg Times A concert by KISS and Poison at the Ford Amphitheatre was postponed Saturday afternoon, hours before the bands were to take the stage, after KISS guitarist PAUL STANLEY was hospitalized following a concert Friday in West Palm Beach. A statement on the KISS Web site said Stanley lost fluids and suffered heat exhaustion after the West Palm Beach show. "He is being treated now," the statement said. Also delayed was KISS' concert planned for tonight in Pensacola. David Harb, marketing director for the Ford Amphitheatre, said he hopes to reschedule the concert. All tickets will be honored at that time, he said. "We're not going to use the word "cancellation,' " he said. "We do fully intend to reschedule this show. It is a really fun show, and we would love to bring it here." Harb said he was not informed of the nature of the illness and that the concert was postponed before either band could stage a sound check. Harb said more details would be available Monday. |
