Thank You From: JoAnn Baker To KISS, I just want to thank you for the concert you put on for the US Marines and families this past weekend at Camp Pendleton. My son, Cody is 20 years old and is a US Marine who just got back from Iraq 2 weeks ago. I called him from a fastpitch softball tournament here in Oklahoma where his sister was playing and he said he was looking at pictures from the concert. I know the 6 months he was there was probably the most stressful time of our lives ever and am so grateful he is back on USA soil!!!! Can you tell I am a very proud US Marine mom? I will also just tell you when we came to California to welcome my son home, there were 5 "greyhound-like" busses that pulled up and stopped on the other side of the parade deck, then proceeded to park one right behind the other. We had absolutely no idea which bus he was on and actually videoed everyone off the 1st bus, then my 2 daughters ran to the 2nd bus and just screamed his name and then saw him on the bus and he saw them too. What a proud time! I am thankful to be an American that is free. I just wanted to thank you all for doing this for our troops. Yes, my marine cannot even drink legally but was standing guard and fighting for us while we slept. Thank you, JoAnn Baker Proud US Marine mom |
