From: VH1 At the first annual VH1 Rock Honors, members of KISS, QUEEN, Def Leppard and Judas Priest will be presented with a custom ring. Not your average show, not your average award… VH1 and Commemorative Brands, Inc. have produced 40 "class rings" to be awarded to the "VH1 Rock Honors" honorees. As we sing the praises of the artists whose music has made a lasting mark on the history of hard rock, VH1 will honor them with a 10 Karat white gold ring, with onyx, diamond and garnet stones. The "Rock Honors" ring celebrates the legends that have influenced the sound of hard rock for all time and symbolizes the long lived connection to heavy metal that will thrive as long as it is honored. Beginning this year, the ring will embark us onto a tradition that will continue to flourish for each generation to come. VH1's website has added a cool ROCK HONORS profile section on KISS and the other honorees. Shortly, they will add exclusive programming, show information and more. Hosted by Jaime Pressly of the hit sitcom "My Name Is Earl," this year's celebration will honor the music and influence of KISS, Queen, Def Leppard and Judas Priest. Godsmack joins previously announced performers Foo Fighters, The All-American Rejects and Paul Rodgers, who has recently joined Queen for tours of Europe and the USA, as they pay tribute to the legends who influenced the sound of hard rock with the first annual "VH1 Rock Honors." Premiering on Wednesday, May 31 at 9PM*, "VH1 Rock Honors," will be taped at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on Thursday, May 25. The show will include performances by all of the honorees as well as tribute performances by Godsmack, Foo Fighters, The All-American Rejects and Paul Rodgers. Riki Rachtman will serve as backstage announcer. Additional performers, presenters, and special guests will be announced as they are confirmed. The 2 - hour tribute will salute the groundbreaking bands of rock, the once in a lifetime events and the influential people who made a lasting mark on the history of hard rock. The influence of these honorees will be felt through spoken tributes, filmed packages and performances by some of today's hottest rock acts as well as the legends themselves.
