From: Associated Press The rock band KISS is now pitching coffee in Myrtle Beach. The first KISS Coffeehouse features KISS Vanilla, Demon Dark Roast and Rockuccino. Band members PAUL STANLEY and GENE SIMMONS greeted hundreds of people Tuesday to mark the opening. Their appearance did not include their trademark makeup. Fans started lining up at 6am to meet Stanley and Simmons, who weren't scheduled to show until 8:30pm, according to KISS' website. The two band members drove up in a stretch limousine and shook hands with fans as they made their way to a news conference and receiving line. Some fans drove from as far away as Colorado and Oregon and one came all the way from Poland. The KISS Coffeehouse is hardly a bohemian hangout for arty types. It's a shiny silver and neon building flanked on either side by giant platform boots. Stanley says Myrtle Beach was the best place to start the business. |
