From: MarketWatch.com In an unusual IPO on the calendar in coming days, GENE SIMMONS, famed as front man for arena rock band KISS, is lending his star power as chairman of NGTV, a cable-TV media firm planning to go public in coming days. Beverly Hills, Calif.-based NGTV bills itself as a developer of TV programs for cable and the Internet. The company plans to offer 6.03 million units at $5.75 to $6.25 each in a bid to raise about $36 million with Capital Growth Financial. The company plans to trade on the American Stock Exchange under the symbol "NGI." NGTV expects to launch a service branded as No Good Television or No Good TV providing uncensored news, entertainment and lifestyle-based programming aimed at mature audiences. Simmons was elected to the company's board of directors in February 2004 and became chairman at that time. Other IPOs on deck in coming days include a $60 million IPO from Crossfire Capital and a possible debut from Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurants, which remains on day-to-day status. |
