From: First Coast News JACKSONVILLE, FL -- In full battle gear, the KISS Army launched its latest invasion, with members wagging their tongues at the Belk store inside the Regency Mall. Fans from Daytona Beach and further away lined up for a chance to meet their make-up wearing commander, GENE SIMMONS. What would bring the legendary KISS singer and bass player to the First Coast? He’s selling perfume, of course. If you want to rock and roll all night and still smell good the next day, Simmons wants you to try "KISS Him" or "KISS Her" fragrances. Simmons signed bottles of the creations for hours Friday evening, stopping to smile for a quick picture with every fan. The fragrances, which carry a suggested price of $49 for a 3.4 oz. spray bottle, are the anchors of a line of other body and hair care products that include "All Nite Deodorant Stick," "Rockin' Bath Splash," and "Struttin' Hair and Body Wash." Sure, "KISS make-up" makes a logical spinoff for the famous band -- but perfume? "It doesn't have to make sense," Simmons said, as long as people want to buy it. |
