Paul Makes Fan's Night
From: PaulStanley.com

PAUL STANLEY blew the roof off of the Hollywood House of Blues Tuesday night!! He rocked, he looked and sounded great!!! But what amazed me more was his compassion for Tony, the fan who I gave my extra ticket to. Tony has CP (cerebral palsy) or as he says "I have it, it doesn't have me." I met Tony at the HOB in Hollywood as he took the bus there. We talked about KISS and Tony gave me a CD his friend Dave did using Tony as the theme for the CD. We talked and then headed over to the line outside the HOB. All of a sudden, we hear "Got to Choose" coming out the doors. Like the shop owner who gives the kids the key to the candy store, the security guards opened the doors and let about 30 of us in to watch Paul's soundcheck. When we got in everyone rushed the stage, but I had to patiently wait for Tony to catch up. When he did, Paul immediately acknowledged him and came over and threw a pick motioning to me to make sure Tony got it... we heard "Live to Win" and finally "Love Gun." Paul was in great spirits joking with us about the "Elder" album and was in a great mood. I also got a guitar pick and Tony also got a signed "Live to Win" CD (promotional copy).

After the soundcheck, we then were able to do the meet and greet. Again, it took Tony some time to get in line and when he did, he met Paul again. Paul shook his hand and mine. Paul took a pic with Tony but it didn't come out because it was too dark. So, Paul then moved us over to where the light was moving a table out of the way and then took this picture with Tony.

After Tony's pic I thought I would get mine, but Paul apologized and said that the meet and greet was over. So, I realized that it didn't matter because after he just took care of Tony, what more did he have to do... he showed such compassion with Tony. He then asked Tony if he had proper seating for the show and if HOB had taken care of his special needs. I was just amazed at how Paul took the time to make Tony feel so special....

When we got in for the show, Tony had special seating behind the soundboard and we were not disappointed.... Gene was there upstairs in VIP and he appeared before Paul took the stage. Paul rocked such classics as "Got to Choose", "Magic Touch", "Love Gun", "Million to One", "Hide your Heart", "Do you love me", "Strutter", his 1978 solo material sounded like it was written yesterday, "Wouldn't you like to know me", "Goodbye", "Move on" and of course tracks from "Live to Win" and so much more!!!! Paul's performance and his crowd interaction were superb, it just doesn't get any better than this (unless KISS was up there)...

But the story gets better, I go to get the car because Tony can't get a bus home and I go to valet to get it and who do you think pulls up in front of us???? The beautiful Shannon Tweed and GENE SIMMONS. Gene goes up to Tony and goes "hey Tony!!!", he starts kidding with Tony and then gives a friend of Tony's a hard time about "watch out for this guy"... I was in the car and heard everything but could not get out.. Tony hung with Gene for a minute and then we all left... KISS taxi service style....

While on the way to drop Tony off, we opened Gene's autographed bottle of KISS her perfume and sprayed it to just get a smell and I must say my car still smells like citrus!!!

What a show! What a night!!!!
