From: ETV.com KISS bassist/vocalist GENE SIMMONS and longtime companion Shannon Tweed recently spoke to "Entertainment Tonight" about their decision to undergo dual face lifts that were taped for the second season of A&E's half-hour reality series "GENE SIMMONS Family Jewels". (view the video) 10 weeks after the surgery ET caught up with Gene and Shannon at New York's Jean Georges Restaurant, where Shannon said, "It is not as painful as it looks. [There were] a lot of painkillers going on. You get to sit in your bed, read magazines and have the children bring you food. [I took] sleeping pills because you have to sleep sitting up for three weeks. That is really hard. Gene only took painkillers two or three times. He didn't feel pain at all." And was it worth it? "I am more in love with myself than ever before," Gene said. "I have been delusional about my looks since I was a kid. There is no hope for me now. I am staying with me forever." |
