I Got KISSed!From: Total Financial Liberty Posted: April 20, 2008 You guy's know I talked to GENE SIMMONS From KISS at the most recent Dan Kennedy Super Conference right? One of the things most important parts of his presentation was when he began to speak several different languages with the members of the audience. Gene showed his ability to communicate to different people on their terms - thereby creating a level of trust someone struggling through a language barrier will never achieve. He also said - when in Rome - Do as the Romans do. Learn to communicate with people so they understand. Now, he also said that if you EVER see a Military Personnel, Police Officer or Firefighter behind you in line to let them ahead of you! Which won me over right away by the way. SIDE NOTE - When we took this picture I told him that as a firefighter I really appreciated his comments - he took the time to talk to me for a little bit and Thanked Me for all that we do. These things together spoke volumes - because GENE SIMMONS came to this Country not being able to speak English - an look at him today! What does this have to do with Real Estate? Glad you asked! Have you ever felt like you were running around not sure what to do and not sure what to say when dealing with houses? Have you ever felt you were trying to ask one question but something completely different was coming out of your mouth? Has a seller or buyer ever looked at you like you had a Third Eye coming out of your forehead? Sometimes that is because we do speak a different language - we speak in the language that we know - and we have heard before - we speak in terms WE have heard, but the clients most likely have never heard before. We speak in Jargon. One great thing about GENE SIMMONS - there is no doubt what he wants to accomplish - what he stands for - and what he believes in. Are you speaking as clearly to your sellers and buyers? Would an 8th grader understand your offer? Would your mom? Think about your offers - think about how you communicate. Learn what others are looking for - and give it to them. |
