Below is the text of the video. Stanley: I'm very pleased because all my rock 'n' roll heroes have been great showmen. Everyone from Steve Marriott of Humble Pie to Slade's Noddy Holder. Showmanship is key to all my favourite bands. Although I must admit I was surprised to receive the award, given that I'm not quite as commanding on stage as I used to be! ( Stanley is quoting Classic Rock's review of KISS' appearance at Download 2008 -Ed.) in Fairness, it has taken me some time to recover from a torn shoulder - I had to have my left rotator cuff replaced. Plus I've had hip replacement surgery. I'm 57 years old now and being a member of KISS is very demanding physically. But at this point it feels like I've just had my 50,000-mile check-up. I'm good for another 50,000 at least. What does the future hold for KISS? [more]

Ex-Kiss Guitarist BRUCE KULICK Tunes Up His Mac For New CDFrom: MacWorld Posted: Guitarist BRUCE KULICK gained worldwide notoriety as the lead guitar player for KISS. Since leaving the band Kulick launched a successful solo career and for his third CD he is tuning up his guitars and his Macs. Kulick said he began working on the as yet untitled third CD back in 2004 and started laying down tracks last January. While writing the songs, he said iTunes became his collection of ideas, holding the music and vocals and other clips that he may use for the CD. While KISS may be Kulick’s most well known gig, he was also a member of Meat Loaf’s touring band on the Bat Out Of Hell show in 1977. After that gig he formed a band called Blackjack with an aspiring singer named Michael Bolton. [more]

Heaven's On Fire Performed At Swedish Clash Of The ChoirsFrom: KISSOnFire Posted: January 19, 2009 In the Swedish version of Clash Of The Choirs ("Körslaget") Swedish superstar Robert Wells this Saturday (January 17th) performed "Heaven’s On Fire". The clip can be watched here. Last summer, Robert Wells performed a KISS medley at his huge summer show "Rhapsody In Rock". This is the third time in just a couple of months that KISS songs are played in big mainstream shows in Swedish national TV. Idol contestant Alice Svensson also performed "Heaven’s On Fire" and dance band Bengt Hennings performed "I Was Made For Loving You". 
PETER CRISS to Appear in New Movie Frame of MindFrom: KISSasylum.com Posted: January 18, 2009 PETER CRISS will be making an acting appearance in the upcoming film Frame of Mind, set to be released on DVD February 24, 2009. The film is a Detective Drama and centers around a new twist in the President John F. Kennedy assassination conspiracy theories. When Detective David Secca discovers a piece of film showing a man concealing a rifle on the grassy knoll in Dallas, it becomes clear this is an important clue in uncovering the truth behind history. We’ve been extremely blessed and we’re excited to see what the future holds. I often joke that I’ve traded the Viper Room for the diaper room, and it looks like my tour’s been extended!" The couple live in Beverly Hills with their 2-year-old son Colin and Paul’s 14-year-old son, Evan, from a previous marriage.

In a chat with Jane Stevenson of Canada’s Sun Media, Gene suggests that the band will record the album and release it next summer with PAUL STANLEY producing. There will also be a handful of show to go with this release. "We’ll do a handful of shows just to keep in the game (next) summer, maybe 10 (dates), some Canadian shows. I know Halifax is one, but before you get out there and start the baseball season, they hold exhibition games, that’s what we’re doing. ‘Cause once we go out, it’s going to be for a year and a half."

So other than all that work, I was busy with a few events. Two in Phoenix that started the day AFTER Christmas, and one in Vegas right after New Years.
