VH1.com is taking votes for VH1's "My Music" awards, with the winners to be announced during an awards show November 30th at the Shrine Auditorium. The categories were determined by fan suggestions, and preliminary voting is going on right now in all categories to determine final nominees. Voting in the preliminary round is open until October 20th, and it is very important to VOTE NOW because the finalists will be determined from the preliminary voting results.

Why does this matter to the online KISS Army? Well, because KISS has been nominated in several of the categories and need your votes to make it to the finals! And not only does the band need your help in those categories where they were nominated, but we want the KISS Army to stage a massive write-in campaign (100% allowed under the voting system) to add KISS in a couple of categories they were unjustifiably left out of! Here's the low down:

ALREADY NOMINATED -- NEED KISS ARMY VOTES!

"You Want Fries With That Album?" award for best commercial or endorsement by a band/musician. KISS' Pepsi ad has been nominated.

"Legend In Action" award for best performance by a legendary band/musician. KISS has been nominated.

"Best Stage Spectacle" for most awesome, flashy live show. KISS has been nominated.

NOT YET NOMINATED -- NEED KISS ARMY "WRITE IN" VOTES!

"Double Threat" award for musicians who acted in films. Let's get KISS nominated for their appearance in "Detroit Rock City"!

"Best Live Act" award for, well, best live act! Believe it or not KISS was not even nominated for this award! Come on KISS Army, let's show VH1 what band REALLY "rocks and rolls all nite and parties every day!" by getting KISS nominated for this award!

"Gods Of Thunder" award for the heaviest, loudest, ass kicking rock band. In perhaps the biggest oversight of all, KISS isn't even nominated in a category named after one of their own songs!! March on KISS Army and let's get KISS nominated for this award!

"Coolest Fan Website" -- In a bit of shameless self promotion (hey, we studied at the feet of the masters after all!) we would ask that all the KISS Army fans who have visited and enjoyed KISSASYLUM.COM over the past 5 years support us with a "write-in" vote for "Coolest Fan Website". Unfortunately there is no category for "official" band websites, but that doesn't mean the online KISS Army can't help your fellow KISS fans here at KISSASYLUM.COM get nominated in this fan category with your "write-in" votes -- after all, KISS has always been about the fans!

Ok, now you know all the categories where KISS needs your help, here's how you do it. If you are already a registered member of VH1.com just click on over to begin voting! (http://www.vh1.com/mymusic/). For those who have not registered with VH1 before, relax..... it is VERY easy! It will take less than one minute (a mere 60 seconds or less!) for you to register so you can begin voting. All they require is a user name, password, b-day and email address and you're in! So please, take the time to click over and register (you can register right from the "My Music" awards page!) so that KISS can get all the support they deserve in the VH1 "My Music" awards -- after all, KISS has always done their best for us fans, so now let's do our best for them KISS Army!!
