KISSAlive.com Officially Open!
From: James Dunham
We are proud to announce the opening of KISSalive.com on August 1st! "What is KISSalive.com?", you ask. KISSalive was conceived by James Dunham over 2 years ago when he and Dave Toussaint took over the original KISSArmy Mailing List, and started the KISSalive Mailing List. James envisioned a site that would not only be the home for the mailing list, but would bring together the online KISS community in the form of web hosting and email addresses. For starters, KISSalive is NOT a news site. There are plenty of those out there. Why reinvent the wheel. Features you WILL find at KISSalive.com:

KISS On MTV's "Super Adventure Team"
From: glittrkidz@earthlink.net
I just finished watching a tape from tonight's episode of the Super Adventure Team and I must say it was fantastic! In the episode, the Queen is kidnapped by bungling terrorists and after having the Team explain to them the concept of demands, the terrorists ask to see the rock group KISS. Being from Philly, I especially liked the comment, "We're the Super Adventure Team, not the Philadelphia Spectrum." The
Team sneak into the terrorists lare in the disguise of KISS where they play "Rock N Roll All Nite" about five times - or else the terrorists will blow the Queen's head off. In the end the day is saved and the episode was great. The writers seem to be fans of the band, rather than having just used them stereotypically as cultural icons the way
many other shows make reference to the band.
KISS Mention In Entertainment Weekly
From: KISS Asylum
In the August 7, 1998 edition of Entertainment Weekly magazine there is a sidebar column in the music section on page 74 called "Our Dream VH-1 Lineup." The column is a humorous look at some shows the writer would like to see on VH-1. One of the shows listed is the "RuPaul Stanley Show." Here is their description of what the show would be about: "The KISS guitarist swaps lipstick tips with talcum-powdered rock stars. Special guests: Marilyn Manson and Courtney Love." They also had a pretty funny drawing of "RuPaul Stanley" which is included here. Click the image for larger picture.

KISS In Metal Edge News
From: KISS Asylum
KISS Asylum talked to Gerri Miller of Metal Edge yesterday and asked her about KISS appearances in upcoming issues of Metal Edge. Gerri said that the Metal Edge issue that hits the newstands in September will be the first place for fans to see the new KISS costumes, and that Gene & Paul will also be interviewed. She also mentioned that there will probably be a "track-by-track" review of the album and, "if available," the cover art for the album will also be shown. This is shaping up as a "can't miss" issue of Metal Edge for all the KISS fans so make sure to get it when it hits the newstands.
Metal Edge is also giving away a complete set of all 4 Psycho Circus action figures to 4 lucky winners. For your chance to win all you have to do is fill out the coupon in the latest "October" issue of Metal Edge and mail it in by September 1, 1998.
Detroit "Swing" City
From: Mike Tannacore
As if the Mighty Mighty Bosstones covering "Detroit Rock City" on the "KISS My
Ass: Classic KISS Regrooved" album wasn't weird enough, the neo-swing group
Alien Fashion Show has covered it too. The title is "Detroit Swing City" and
it is described to be a "KISS classic with wingtips." It is also in the news because it is a single from an album, in the mp3 format, which a record company endorses. This is the first time a record company has adopted the mp3 format. You can find out more information and download the song at http://content.mp3.com/mp3/visitors/browse/detail518.asp.
KISS & Tell More Release Date & News
From: Gordon Gebert
Gordon informed KISS Asylum last night that KISS N Tell More publisher Pitbull has finally set a definate release date for the book. Look for it on shelves in a store near you August 28. You can also order it online at Gordon's website at http://www.nowopen.com/kiss. And on an interesting related note, Gordon and Pitbull are considering offering a "reward" to the first KISS fan who can get a member of KISS to autograph KISS N Tell More and document it with a photo or video of the occurance. Finally, those of you who aren't particularly fond of Gordon may get your chance at some good natured "revenge" soon. Gordon has been contacted by an organizer of KISS Expos about the possibility of Gordon appearing at an upcoming Expo in a carnival style dunking tank for fans to take out their aggressions -- good natured as always, Gordon says he is game!

KISS
PSYCHO CIRCUS
Ladies and Gentlemen it is with great pleasure that I bring you Psycho
Circus, the new album from KISS. Psycho Circus is the first recording
the four original members: Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley and
Peter Criss have made together in over twenty years. The album features
ten new songs and was produced by Bruce Fairbairn. The album will be
unleashed on the world September 22, 1998. KISS has defined the face and character of rock culture. For over twenty-four years they have been shocking and exciting people while inventing new ways to keep their fans happy. Their influence on today's music and it's artists is unparalleled. With Psycho Circus, fans will get vintage KISS.
The artwork for Psycho Circus continues the KISS tradition of being totally original. The CD will be packaged in a never-before-seen special 3-D image. Other exciting things KISS will be doing to coincide with the release of Psycho Circus include the creation of a KISS car and the unveiling of new costumes which are updated versions of the ones worn during the Destroyer tour.
The KISS reunion tour '96-97' was the top grossing tour of the year. They broke attendance records in every city and sold over $150 million worth of concert tickets. KISS intend to break those records this time around. The will kick-off sometime in November and will of course feature the guys in full makeup and costume. They also plan to have the tour be in 3-D.

KISS Thought Vault: An Insightful Circus?
From: KISS Asylum
Review by Ron Albanese of KISS Thought Vault
I received a copy of Psycho Circus yesterday, July 25, 1998 and immediately felt compelled to pen a quick Thought Vault to add to the cyber-frenzy of advance reports. Since I only heard it about six times, and roughly within a five hour span of time, this reaction essay should be taken lightly. I am offering my immediate reaction mainly out of genuine excitement; the emotional charge of getting a new Kiss album (since Dynasty {with the exception of the woefully misguided Barnacle of Shoals}, I have charged my local retail outlets to get each new album the first day of its release) will drive one to great lengths to talk up the band. The adrenaline that soared through my veins upon ripping open the evelope the cassette came in and jamming it into my stereo was unreal. Actually, it was surreal- to first hear a new/old Kiss album in 1998 (or at least one touted as such) was something I will always remember. The Eric Singer-loving Byron Fogle stopped by to hear it too, and I gauged the same reaction in him. It's a great thing. Without further ado, here is my early take on Kiss' Psycho Circus

KISS Nite At The Ball Park -- Revisited
From: KISS Asylum
Well, the Prince William Cannons' big nite took place this past Friday and "KISS Nite at the Ball Park" was a huge success! Despite a rain delay during the bottom of the fifth inning, the rest of the nite was full of fun and excitement! As scheduled Bruce played the National Anthem prior to the game, and then he and KISS tribute band Mr. Speed threw out the first pitch to start the game. Bruce's UNION bandmate John Corabi was also in attendance, and the two performed the KISS classic "Beth" at the top of the fifth inning. There were KISS dealers, decorations and fans everywhere you looked, tribute band Mr. Speed thrilled the crowd despite some audio problems, and along the way the Cannons even managed to win 13-5!

KISS Mention in Guitar World Magazine
From: KISS Asylum
There is a KISS mention in the new Guitar World Magazine (September '98 issue) where they rate the top 100 guitar solos of all time. Ace's "Shock Me" solo came in at number 50. Here is the write up that's in the magazine: "I basically did the same solo every night on that tour, with minor alternations, so I had it kinda of planned out when I did it the night we recorded it for the Alive II album," says Ace Frehley. "But if you listen carefully to the 'Shock Me' solo you can hear me make a mistake about two thirds of the way through. Instead of tapping a 'B' at the 19th fret of the high 'E' string, I accidentially hit the 'A#' note at the 18th fret -- that's definately a wrong note for the scale I'm using. We could have fixed it in the mix, but I said to Eddie [Kramer, Alive II producer], screw it! Leave it in. The run sounds cool, so who cares -- its rock and roll!"
Mark St. John To Appear At Toronto Expo?
From: Brian Bobojchov
I heard from a friend of mine who talked to the guy who organizes the Toronto Kiss Expos and he said that this year's convention in Toronto won't have Eric Singer as the special guest. The organizer said that Eric can't make it because he'll be on tour with former Queen guitarist Brian May. I was told that as of now it's been confirmed that for the first time ever Mark St. John will be at this year's Toronto Kiss Expo. Wow! This is so cool. Mark St. John's first ever appearance at a Kiss Expo and it's in Toronto on November 1st. What a treat.

Ted Nugent To Open The Halloween Show?
From: BillyNuge@aol.com
Just wanted to pass on a bit of info I just got in regards to the KISS show at Dodger stadium on Halloween night. I spoke to a freind of mine who works for the company that manages Ted Nugent and he says that Ted Nugent is slated to be one of two opening acts for the KISS at Dodger stadium. He said that the other band will be a more "modern" band that will relate better to the younger fans, however he had no idea of who it may be. He also said that there are no plans for Ted to be part of the offical KISS tour and that the Dodger Stadium show will be the only one Ted plays with KISS.
Still Wicked CD Out In August
From: Gordon Gebert
The "Still Wicked" CD release date is second week of August. To hear a sample track from this EP check out the KISS N Tell More: Gordon Gebert Interview.
July 23
In an exclusive first look interview, Gordon tells KISS Asylum that KISS 'N Tell More, the follow up effort to his highly successful first book, not only covers all of the fall-out that resulted from the publication of KISS 'N Tell, but also brings to life and reveals many new facts and stories about Ace & KISS, including: Ace's "lost" recording studio; Gordon's face to face meeting with one of his stalkers in Sweden; "Poor Vinnie Vincent;" the possibility of KISS 'N Tell being made into a movie; Peter Criss stories -- and you thought Ace was the crazy one!; detailed information about KISS contracts; the ambush of Gene and Paul that never happened; and, of course, the "internuts."
And this time around Gordon has also prepared a multimedia "assualt" for everyone in the form of the KISS 'N Tell CD-ROM. Planned to go on sale shortly after the release of the book, Gordon reveals that it will feature photos, video, and never before released music. He also discusses in great detail his upcoming studio recording projects with his band Still Wicked, including: track titles and musicians for the EP "Something Wicked This Way Comes;" plans for the follow up full length LP; and he's even sent a .wav file sample of one of the EP tracks -- "She" -- as a sneak peak for KISS Asylum visitors! All that and more is covered in KISS Asylum's comprehensive interview with KISS 'N Tell More author Gordon G. G. (the story of the two G's is revealed in the interview) Gebert.

Psycho Circus Release Date Revised
From: KISS Asylum
Following reports this morning on Entertainment Weekly Online suggesting that the Psycho Circus album is scheduled for release on Septermber 22nd, KISS Asylum spoke with Mercury Records this afternoon to confirm that date. We were told that as of today, the previously annoucned release date of September 15th has in fact been pushed back a week to September 22nd. The reason for the delay has been attributed to last minute revisions in the album's artwork.

Kiss Reunites For Another Tour And Album
From: Entertainment Weekly Online via Keith Kodosky
Kiss will once again strap on the platform boots and slap on the face paint for a U.S. tour this November -- the band's first since a 1996-97 reunion extravaganza that was the year's top concert draw. The reason: a new album, "Psycho Circus" (due out on Mercury, September 22), which marks the first time that the four original members have recorded together in more than twenty years. Kiss will up the theatrical ante this time around, unveiling new costumes and presenting genuine circus performers before each show. Plus, giant screens will project the stage show in 3-D (special glasses will be handed out at the door); concertgoers can get the pleasure (or pain) of "Gene Simmons' tongue like it's hitting you in the face," according to the band's press
release.
Kiss' last tour grossed $150 million, largely because of the nostalgia/novelty value (and tickets priced as high as $85). But on the second go-round, Simmons' blood-drooling may be less exciting. "People might say, 'I saw them two years ago and it was great, but I'm not sure I want to pay that much money to see them again,'" says EW music critic David Browne. "What Kiss has going for them is that we're still in a period where showmanship and elaborate stage shows are not the norm. We're still at that post-grunge point where bands mostly just stand around while they play." -- Josh Wolk
News From Gene
From: Joop / KISS Kollector Online
Recently Gene faxed an update to the KISS Kollector Fanclub. Amongst other things he talked about the upcoming Psycho Circus album: "I believe in my heart the fans will love this record. The proudest part of it, is how great is was to be in the studio with Ace and Peter. Both were extremely professional. Both worked their butts off and I believe you will see the results on the album." As for songstitles, Gene mentioned the following tracks: "Psycho Circus... Within... I Pledge Allegiance... Into The Void... We Are One... You Wanted The Best... Raise Your Glasses... I Finally Found My Way... Dreamin'... Journey Of 1,000 Years." More from Gene, and other news, in my next Newsletter and upcoming issue of the magazine.
A Message From Bruce
From: Bruce Kulick / Bruck Kulick's Virtual Studio
Bruce here wanting everyone to know that we are working on a tour in August. News will be announced soon and of course the areas of the country we missed will be a priority. John and myself have done work on Eric's "ESP" record which is a recording of 70's cover material like old Deep Purple, Aerosmith, Humble Pie, & Hendrix (of course). I don't want to give too much away, but it has been lots of fun, no pressure and a pleasure to jam with Eric again. It really is a way to have a blast like the jams at some of the Expos that you may have seen -- we press record and GO!!!
I hope you all remain patient for UNION, and of course if you attend any of the upcoming events this weekend John and myself look forward to meeting you. Bring your UNION disc to be signed and we will have some cool merchandise available as well.

More KISS 13" Action Figures News
From: Jeff Necker
I would like to add that, I talked with Chet Jaques (Manager of the McFarlane Toy Collectors Club)at The Wizard World Con. He stated that they did indeed plan to make these figures based on the costumes for the upcoming tour. Todd himself is helping or has helped in the design of these new costumes. The figures, which I was told won't come out until next year will replicate what we see on stage this tour and will include plastic replicas of all instruments. Even a drum set. He also mentioned that the costumes WOULD RESEMBLE THE COMIC CHARACTERS. Chet didn't mention if a stage-play set was in the works, but anything is possible. The reason the figures won't be out until next year is KISS is a once a year thing for McFarlane. Chet also said that these figure would be series 3 KISS figures and COULD be the same size as the current figures.

KISS Merchandise Update
From: David Snowden Promotions
Gartlan USA has plans to release the following new KISS Merchandise:
New 8" Plate, New 3" Plate, New Large Pewter Figurine Autographed, New Baseball, New Christmas Ball
These items are still in the development stages are are awaiting band approval. Once they are approved, I will have prices and photos available. I will send the pricing info and pictures once that happens.
As for a new 3D mouse pad. That isn't going to happen this year. They were going to make it, but due to the high minimum order for 3D products, a new Psycho Circus mouse pad wasn't economical. And they felt the image wasn't strong enough just printed on a regular mouse pad.

KISS Get Cyber-Medeival
From: SPIN Online via KTL4725@aol.com
Speaking of Kiss make-up, the band are gearing up to debut a futuristic take on their classic, '70s costumes. There's a load of brand new Kiss action figures, which coincide with their upcoming Psycho Circus album and comic book. Paul, Gene, Ace and Peter have gone for a look that can only be described as cyber-medeival. Although all four appear more lean and mean, it's drummer Peter Criss, "The Cat," whose change is the most drastic. The new Criss figure is a cross between the Incredible Hulk, a cranky panther and a member of GWAR. Go to www.spawn.com for details. You've been warned.

Diamonds In The Rough: "Whatever Happened To Heroes?"
From: KISS Asylum
In this latest edition of "Diamonds in the Rough" Dales explores the current status of KISS as hereos -- or are they anymore? This is the question he asks as he looks at the image of KISS currently being portrayed in things like the "Psycho Circus" comics and action figures. Is that image too dark? Too "evil?" Has KISS lost their image as good old fashioned rock 'n roll heroes? Read Dale's newest column to get his interesting and insightful thoughts on the matter!

KISS Mention in Wall Street Journal
From: J. Kim McNutt
I was reading my Wall Street Journal weekend supplement edition Friday. There is a long article on Rock and Roll memorabilia and how big artists' collectibles are not selling well at auctions these day, except for the Beatles. Near the end of the article KISS is mentioned. According to the article KISS is considered a "2nd tier" collectable,
but their stuff continues to sell well and commands great prices. A collector is quoted as saying, "if it says KISS on it, it sells no matter what." It said the original dolls from the 70's, in excellent shape are now going for 1,200 dollars for the set. Nice to see the guys made this usually conservative newspaper.

KISS on Super Adventure Team
From: BCR018@aol.com
Next Thursday (7/23) will have a debut show on MTV called Super Adventure Team. In the commercial it shows KISS on a space ship. It is a puppet show. This is what it says in my TV Guide: Super Adventure Team, Debut: A tongue-in-cheek series about a crew of marionette puppets living on a spaceship. First up: the insecure Col. Buck Murdock leads the team on a mission to save the world. It doesn't say anything about KISS but Peter is beside Ace, and Gene is behind and above them. At a glance, it looks like they are in a spaceship. It was really them on stage with Peter in front on his drums.

KISS Fans Flock To Expo
Former drummer Eric Singer is guest of honor at event
By Lisa Jackson / The Detroit News
NOVI -- Former KISS drummer Eric Singer has fond memories of Detroit and its rabid rock fans. "I travel and talk with fans all the time, but Detroiters are very loyal, very eager, very knowledgeable. They seem to remember the most minute details surrounding the band," he said. Singer, who left the band in 1996, will re-experience that loyalty when he is the guest of honor at the 1998 Detroit KISS Expo on July 26 at the Doubletree Hotel in Novi.

Spawn-Master McFarlane Hooks Up With Korn, Kiss
From: MTV News Online
Todd McFarlane, the comic book titan behind "Spawn," has lent his artistic vision to upcoming projects from Korn and Kiss. McFarlane's work will be seen on the cover of Korn's upcoming album, "Follow The Leader," when the release hits stores on August 18. The artist will also turn up with Korn at a comic book convention in San Diego on the weekend of August 14, and autographed lithographs of the cover art will be given away as part of a local radio and retail push.
McFarlane has also hooked up with his old friends in Kiss once again. He designed and marketed an updated line of Kiss action figures last year, and the two entities have joined once again for a new line tying in with the band's upcoming album. In keeping with the theme of "Psycho Circus" (the band's first album with its original line-up in 18 years), the four original Kiss members have been made over to resemble characters from some dark big top attraction, and each has been teamed with a sidekick. The New King of the Beasts Peter Criss comes with his own animal wrangler; The Celestial Ace
Frehley travels with a Stiltman; The Demon Gene Simmons is now joined by the Ring Master; and The Starbearer Paul Stanley comes complete with his own Jester.
The figures are the latest stage in the McFarlane/Kiss partnership that has already spawned last year's Kiss line, and a monthly comic book series, synergistically titled "Psycho Circus."Those figures should arrive in stores on August 27, and you can learn more about the McFarlane universe at his official website at www.spawn.com.

Psycho Circus To Be Played At 2PM EST
From: Greg Litkey
I just got off the phone with WRAT in Belmar. Apparently, it is TRUE that they are
playing "Psycho Circus." They guy I talked to sounded very proud that they are the only station in the free world with the song!!! He said they would play it again at 2pm (July 14th). Hope everybody gets this on time. Get those tape machines rolling baby!!! It's 95.9, and its a pretty weak signal. Good luck.
Psycho Circus On WRAT Again
From: Lynx
I heard the single "Psycho Circus" on the Rat (95.9 WRAT) last night! It was AWESOME! I guess there is a stipulation about the song since it's not released yet, so in the middle of the song you hear the call letters for the station. Anyway, it was so great! The lyrics are classic KISS cliches and the music sounds like Creatures of the Night! Very heavy-duty Rock and Roll! It looks like a good one is on it's way!
KAOL Needs Bands!
From: Kathy Labonte
Before we release the final KAOL disc "KAOL 3 - The Spirit of '78" next year, we are re-issuing the original "KAOL Music From The Folder" disc that was first released in June of 1997. 8 of the 20 songs are being removed and replaced with new material and artists. There are still 2 or 3 slots open on this disc. If you have a band and would like to send in an audition tape, please e-mail me ASAP. This remaster is coming out soon so your material must be finished and ready on a master DAT within the next few weeks. "Psycho Circus" Unofficially Hits the Airwaves!
From: Bob Burke
Hey! My local radio station WRAT in Point Pleasant, NJ played the single "Psycho Circus" today. The DJ said they "somehow" got hold of the song and so they played it! All I can say is AMAZING! Peter's drumming is dark and heavy, which is very cool and out of character for the Cat Man. Ace's guitar is literally smoking!! His solo is honestly the best he has sounded in years. Gene's bass is solid and, just like Peter's drumming, dark and heavy! And finally, the Starchild sings his ass off! It reminded me of "Jungle" meets "Strutter," in an odd way, but all in all the song is something amazing to behold!

Article On Paul Stanley In Nashville
From: Mwilly3@aol.com
Stanley Gets A KISS From The Country Crowd
No flames shot out of the guitars, no one puked blood. Heck there wasn't even one drop of face paint in sight. But a mild-mannered Paul Stanley still managed to generate a thrill for those who saw him last night and Wednesday night at the grand opening of the MARS music store in 100 Oaks Mall. In a brief friendly interview Paul told me he wasn't at all surprised that some of country's biggest stars -- including Reba McEntire -- went to the Nashville arena last year to check out the KISS show. "Music is becoming so universal and so when we're dealing with a live medium, what touches a rock audience touches a country audience," Paul pontificated. "The line becomes thinner and thinner." So what's next? KISS is putting out a new album, Psycho Circus, and the band is creating a 3-D live show that, yes indeed, will require the 3-D glasses. Rock on!

Paul & Ace at NAMM? / More Nashville Appearance Info
From: Mwilly3@aol.com
It has already been reported that Paul was in street clothes, sporting his usual look. He actually toured the store the night before. Kiss fans had a great showing, probably in the 500 range. That's not including those that just could'nt handle the wait. He was very talkative to some. He did Not give out alot of details about Psycho Circus. He did confirm a 3D Concert Show which will require 3D Glasses. He signed one or two items per person and had on hand a new 8 x 10 Black and White in Makeup with the Washburn. It is kinda a side pose. A follow up column again was in the Nashville newspaper. I will be forwarding all those for your viewing very soon. Rumours have it with NAMM in town this weekend Paul will remain in town for that. Ace may be in town also at the Gibson booth. I will confirm ASAP.
Third KISS Cars Set From Playing Mantis
From: Mwilly3@aol.com
I was at one of my local card/comic shops. He normally carries the McFarlane Figures and the Playing Mantis KISS items, and Wednesday he had gotten in a Third Set of KISS Playing Mantis cars. They are identically packaged and have the same design as Set Two (with the letter on the back window), except they are a light purple/lavender color instead of being black. He tells me these are exclusive to comic retailers only and should not show up at Spencers, Wal Mart, etc. I was not aware of this, so I thought I would pass it along to those of you that might be interested.
KISS Telephone News
From: Mike Brunn
Today, Mike Brunn's KISS Collectibles spoke to Kash'n' Gold about the KISS Telephone. As most of you may be aware of, they were finally released a few weeks ago to Spencer gifts. Those of you who were lucky to find one, and used it, may have noticed how LOUD the ringer is. Because of this problem, many phones have been returned, and further shipments to dealers are being delayed about one month. I was told that on all future shipments, the ringer volume will be adjusted. I pushed further saying that this item was delayed countless times in the past, why should I believe that shipment would take place next month. The woman on the phone said the problem has already been corrected, and now they must ship from overseas. Lets keep our fingers crossed.

KISS on Cover of ToyFare Magazine
From: Dave Wilson
I stopped by my local comic shop looking for the new KISS binder, which they didn't receive yet, but as I looked on the magazine rack I noticed that they did get in the new ToyFare. As you know, the cover features the Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley Psycho Circus Action Figures. There's also a poster of all four figures packaged separately in the back. There's no story or article, which somewhat surprised me, but it's a cool piece nonetheless.

More KISS Series 1 Binder Info
From: Mike Brunn
The KISS Collector Card Binder is now available. A beautiful 3 ring binder, great to store your KISS cards in or even to use in school as a loose leaf binder. It has color pictures on the front, side and back. The front picture is the now classic reunion photo, and the back has another band photo, plus photos of each member. Of note: Ace's last name was spelled wrong on the back cover. I spoke to Cornerstone as soon as I received my shipment, and they said they hadn't realized the mistake, and weren't sure at this point if it would be corrected on future printings. They did say that another binder is being planned for the Series Two Cards. I have these binders in stock now for only $14.99. If you want a binder, or other KISS merchandise, send email to Mike Brunn's KISS Collectibles.

KISS on MTV
From: Jon Atherton
I saw Kiss on MTV Tuesday night. It was a special call Rock's Greatest Feuds, or something like that. It was an hour long special, and it talked about the feuds between rockers like David Lee Roth and Van Halen, Joe Perry and Steve Tyler or Aerosmith just to name a few. About halfway through the program they mentioned the KISS reunion, and showed a short, but cool, sound bit of KISS performing live, and a very short interview with Gene in full makeup. I'm sure it'll be easy to catch a rerun soon as MTV usually will play the same special two or three times a week.
KISS Sterling Silver Jewelry in the Works
From: David Snowden Promotions
A new line of sterling silver KISS jewelry is in the works. One of the pieces on the drawing board is a ring designed in the shape of Gene's head, with the "band" that goes around your finger to hold the ring in place being Gene's tongue! There is a possibility that this line of jewelry, targeted for release around the Psycho Circus Tour, may be exclusive to Spencer's stores around the country for the first 6 months or so of availability because the company designing the pieces also designs other jewelry exclusively for the Spencer chain. There may also be at least one exclusive piece of KISS sterling silver jewerly available from Snowden himself sometime in the fall when the entire line is introduced to concide with the tour. Stay tuned for more details as they become available.

KISS Dominates Previews Charts
From: Al
Just thought I'd let everyone know the latest stats for KISS related items as listed in Previews Magazine, all listings are for June orders. Psycho Circus comic #11 came in at #42 on the Top 100 comic chart; the KISS Psycho Circus Ultra Action Figures came in at #1 on the Top 10 Toys and Models chart; and the KISS Telephone came in at #4 on the Top 10 Misc. items chart.
BTW, also wanted to let people know that it appears the free KISS guide comic book that was going to be included in Wizard #86 has been pushed back to Wizard #87 to allow them to add interviews with Gene and Todd McFarlane. I also heard the cover will now be an actual KISS cover as opposed to the design you may have seen previewed in some comic pre-order magazines.

Bruce To Play At KISS Nite At The Ball Park
From: Pat Filippone, GM of Prince WIlliam Cannons
Bruce Kulick will be at the game to perform the National Anthem prior to the game! I am pumped about this as it will make the event even more special. Bruce will also sign autographs and have UNION merchandise for sale. He will be interviewed on DC 101 prior to the game. I am also going to try to arrange other press interviews for him. I have been getting a lot of inquiries on directions to our stadium, and you can find them on our web site at: www.pwcannons.com/direct.html.
Plans are going great for the game. I heard from an old time KISS fan about a promotion that they did on their first tour. We are going to take this gimmick one step further and make a special in between innings break for everybody. Mr. Speed will assist us with this.
I have not received any mix tapes for the fireworks show and I am still looking for a special 15 minute tape to play as opposed to just playing an album. Help! I have received a few video tapes but would like to get more if possible.
